Somalia: Puntland President Defies Travel Ban and Touches Down In Kismaio Airport

Kismaio, October 10 (Hornnews24) – A plane carrying a large delegation led by the president of Somalia’s Puntland Provincial State, Said Abdullahi Deni, has touched down in the International Airport of the port city Kismaio, the administrative capital of Jubbaland regional state.

Apparently, president Deni, has defied a travel ban which was recently imposed on Jubbaland by Somalia’s central government after a bitter row on the state’s parliamentary and presidential election process.

This worsens the political stalemate between Somalia’s  regional states and the zombie, ill-disposed central government which has not been so far able to stand on its own feet but but still relies on foreign military might.

President Deni and his delegation will attend the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected Jubbaland President Ahmed Madobe which will take place in the coming days.

Puntland president is among Personalities, signatories, politicians, lawmakers and regional state leaders who have been converging on Kismaio for the occasion.
