Somalia: Alshabaab court executes three people

Mogadishu, Disember 12 (Hornnews24) –  An Islamic court of Somalia’s Al-Qaida-linked group, Alshabaab, has executed on Tuesday two government soldiers and an electoral delegate at Mubaarak village of the lower Shabelleh Region, in South Somalia, the latest in string of attacks against elders voted for the MPs.

One of the slain three people was Mohamed Tifow Haydar, an electoral delegate and the two others were identified as Mahad Abdulllah (29) and Mohamud Faarah Adan (28) both of the men were both government soldiers.  The execution was witnessed hundreds of people from all walks of life.

The latest Prophet in Islam (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “It is not permissible to shed the blood of a Muslim who bears witness that there is no god except Allah and that I am His Messenger, except in one of three cases: a soul for a soul (i.e., in the case of murder); a married man who commits adultery; and one who leaves his religion).

According to Alshabaab’s version of Islam and to some other Muslim scholars, it is permissible to kill any one who supports the Somali government and the foreign forces in the country as they believe that such a person falls into the category of the latter “one who leaves his religion”.

Alshabaab believes that all those who work with or support the foreign forces in Somalia and the Somali government have committed apostasy and should be executed.
