Mogadishu, May 03, 2018 (Hornnews24) – A woman working for German Red Cross has been kidnapped by gunmen in the Somali capital, Mogadishu yesterday. The search for the woman is in full swing.
Somali Security Ministry spokesman Abdi’asis Hildhiban said the security guards at the ICRC office in Mogadishu were behind the kidnapping. He said that one of the two cars of the kidnappers was found left in somewhere.
“We are extremely concerned about the safety of our colleague,” said Daniel O’Malley, deputy head of mission for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Somalia. As a nurse, the woman has exerted efforts in saving lives of people in the East African state.

Efforts were under way at various levels to secure the release of the Red Cross employee.
